Mark Poirier

Mark has been involved with the Armory project for over 20 years and has served as its Executive Director for the past 10 years. Mark is a registered architect with over 30 years of experience including leading integrated design teams on larger commercial and institutional projects. He has a passion for historic preservation including serving as the co-chair of the AIA MN Historic Resources Committee and has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Utah.
Michelle Miller

Michelle holds a BS Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 30 years. Her leadership positions have included Executive Director for the Two Harbors Area Food Shelf, Assistant Director for the Great River Arts Association in Little Falls, MN and Program Director with the Greater Minneapolis Girl Scout Council. Michelle enjoys her volunteer roles as radio morning host at Two Harbors Community Radio station and as a tour guide at the Historic Edna G. tugboat. She loves being in the woods or by the water, exploring the beautiful Northshore.
Shawna Weaver

Shawna joins the MRC with nearly thirty years’ experience as a musician. Growing up in the Twin Ports, she played with the DSSO youth orchestra and joined her first band as a sophomore in high school. Shawna attended Gustavus Adolphus College to play violin and returned to Duluth after graduate school in 2010. She has a background in school counseling and program management and a PhD in education. Find her around town playing keys, violin, and vocals with Stardust Collective, Fox Moxie, and the Israel Malachi band. When she’s not working or playing music, she’s usually writing, running on a trail with her dog, or on a travel adventure with friends.
