Music Resource Center
The MUSIC RESOURCE CENTER (MRC) is an inclusive program where students explore the craft of music through instruction and hands-on experience in music performance, recording, and artistic expression. The MRC is a long-time established program of the Armory Arts and Music Center.

SEPTEMBER WORKSHOP
Join us September 15th and 16th at Karpeles Museum for a "welcome back" workshop to introduce students to our new programs. Students will have the opportunity to meet or re-meet their instructors, try new instruments, sign up for lessons, and learn more about our club offerings.

NEW LOCATION - KARPELES MUSEUM!
We are excited to announce that some of our programming is moving to the Karpeles Museum! This fall, lessons and our Creative Club will take place at 902 E 1st St, Duluth, MN 55805, giving us a new space to learn, create, and make music together. We can’t wait to see you there!

Introducing Creative Club, a program designed to create a safe and inclusive space for students to meet, share ideas, and build community. Creative Club will be held at the Karpeles Museum and will offer music-themed activities, trivia, instrument workshops, games, opportunities to explore music from different cultures, and more. Student bands will also be able to reserve space to practice together. Our goal is to make music and the arts more accessible to youth in our community. Creative Club will be free to attend, with a suggested $10 donation to help support the program.
LESSON REGISTRATION
New this year: Online Scheduling!
Music Resource Center lessons are available for drums, guitar, bass, piano, vocals, and music recording. Looking for something else? Reach out to us and we’ll see what options are available. Lessons are $30 per session, and scholarships are available to help make lessons accessible to all students. All lessons must be scheduled in advance. Use our new online scheduling system linked below to view available lesson times and reserve your spot.

Donate to provide scholarships that help remove financial barriers and give more students the opportunity to learn, create, and grow through music. You can also get involved directly by volunteering your time or becoming an instructor. Whether you donate, volunteer, teach, or simply help spread the word, your support helps the MRC continue building a welcoming and accessible space for music and the arts in Duluth.

All students are welcome to participate regardless of ability to pay for a membership. Scholarships are available.
Operating support for the MRC is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through grants from St. Louis County Family Services, the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
