MUSIC RESOURCE CENTER

The MUSIC RESOURCE CENTER (MRC) Is an inclusive program where students explore the craft of music through instruction and hands-on experience in music performance, recording, and the music business. We have instruments, instructors/coaches, recording equipment, and practice rooms for your use. 

 

All skill levels, experience, and interests are welcomed! The MRC is open for drop in Monday-Thursday from 3:30-7:00 until June 5th. We start our Summer schedule of Tuesday-Wednesday 4-7pm on June 10th.

The MRC is located at the Sacred Heart Music Center, 201 W 4th St, Duluth. Students of all ages are welcome to take lessons or drop in with parents to explore music. Students in grades 4-12 are welcome to our drop-in hours to take lessons or explore and work on their own.

Cost for Membership is $50 for the semester or $100 for the school year.  Membership includes a t-shirt.

Punchcards available for $10 and cover 5 drop-ins.

All students are welcome to participate regardless of ability to pay for a membership. Scholarships are available.

Operating support for the MRC is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through grants from St. Louis County Family Services, the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
